Nov, '18The variety of cultures and nationalities at Iconinc is one of my favourite things about living here at [The Ascent](https://www.iconinc.co.uk/locations/liverpool-the-ascent). Often amongst my friends we talk about our countries, religions, cultures and beliefs. And a topic that always comes up is food. We tend to chat about the similarities and differences between typical international dishes. Of course, all that talking about food makes us hungry so we set dates in our diaries once a week, book out the [mega kitchen](https://www.iconinc.co.uk/locations/liverpool-the-ascent/whats-included), and gather there to cook together. We’ve been doing this for about a month now and we’re all enjoying a (literal) taste of each other’s cultures. Here are my favourite foods that we’ve cooked so far:
Middle Eastern meat and veg
The first night we cooked Arabic food, which had the entire kitchen smelling so nice with all the strong and colourful herbs and spices used. We ate a delicious meal consisting of chicken, flavoured rice and baked mixed vegetables. It might sound simple, but all of the spices and the method of cooking is so different and this creates a unique flavour.
