IconInc is opening a brand new student accommodation; The Ascent. Due to the success of ‘The Edge’ in Leeds, they’re making they’re mark in Liverpool.

As a student, you’re main priority is studying. However, no one wants to start University without socialising and meeting new people, and we think accommodation is very important when it comes down to making friends and social connections.

A lot of students will go for accommodation with shared kitchens and bathrooms so they have a bigger chance of meeting their fellow students. However, there’s other accommodation options that can provide just as much of a social scene.

Understandably you’d be apprehensive due to how exclusive The Ascent is, however, there’re are many social areas in the ascent where you can meet new people and hang out:

    Music room

You can make all the noise you want in the sound proofed music rooms. Let music bring you together, as you practice for a rehearsal, a gig or just wanna jam out or even just make loads of noise without disturbing the rest of your fellow students. This can also be a very therapeutic space if you and your friends want to get away from the stress of work and just chill out to your favourite tunes.

    Games Zone

Alternatively you can hang out in the games room, which is kitted out with a large flat screen TV where you can plug in your playstation or Xbox or any other console you wish to play on. After a day of working hard, play hard. Let the gamer rage escape you as you battle it out with your friends on the latest FIFA.

    Mega Kitchen

They say that the kitchen is the heart of the house because it’s where you’ll find the most people in your house or flat at one time, it’s the main social room in any building. So, if you want an even bigger kitchen to cook in, maybe you want to cook with your friends, or maybe you just want the space to hang out with everyone and cook your meals, the mega kitchen is the place to be. A huge kitchen, set with wok burners and gas hobs, large worktop spaces and much more.

    Student Lounge

The student lounge is filled with comfy sofas, and a large flat screen TV, it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind and the place you’ll probably spend most of your time in when hanging out with your friends. There will always be at least one person who’ll be vegging out in front of the TV to escape from work, so it’s a great place to find someone to chill out with.

    Private modern Cinema

    IconInc the Ascent Cinema

Yes, you heard it right. The Ascent has a small private modern cinema. The wall is fitted with a large screen set in front of plenty of comfortable seating where you and your friends can laugh, cry and even scream when watching your favourites. It’s completely free, all you have to do is sit and enjoy the surround sound cinema experience.
